Guadalupe Ledezma

Mata Ortiz

Guadalupe Ledezma is a potter who lives and works in the village of Mata Ortiz in Chihuahua, Mexico. He's the son of Olga Quezada and Humberto Ledezma. He grew up watching and working with them as they made pottery. He had pottery in the marketplace by the time he was 17.

I've seen jars, figures and wedding vases by Lupe. Most of them were decorated at least partly with the trademark quadrillos designs of the Ledezma family.
