Camilio Tafoya
Santa Clara Pueblo
Camilio Tafoya is the father of Grace Medicine Flower and he sometimes collaborated on ceramic pieces with her. For the most part, though, he made seed pots and decorated them with fine paint and sgraffito work.
Joseph Lonewolf was Camilio's son, Grace's brother. Joseph started developing the sgraffito technique and Camilio and Grace both worked with him in taking it further.
Camilio was the son of Serafina Tafoya , brother of Margaret Tafoya and Christina Naranjo . His wife was Agapita Silva, another well-known Santa Clara potter.
