Born into the Spider/Stick Clan in 1949, Rainy Naha is the daughter of Helen Naha (First Featherwoman) and granddaughter of Paqua Naha (First Frogwoman). Among Rainy's siblings are Burel Naha and Sylvia Naha Humpheries.
Rainy has been an active potter for more than 40 years and she's earned a lot of blue ribbons over those years. In contradistinction to the Sikyátki Revival yellow ware style, Rainy's work is more along the lines of Walpi Polychrome, using a white slip and designs like bat wings and the Awatovi star pattern of her mother. Some of her pieces have up to five different slips applied to get the different colors. She works near Awatovi Mesa and that's where she finds the pot sherds that stimulate her imagination.
She signs her pieces with the trademark feather of her mother plus her name, Rainy.
