Lorna Lomakema

Hopi

Lorna Lomakema (b. 1930) is the daughter of Sadie Adams and learned the traditional way of making pottery from her. Employed as a nurse for many years, Lorna was also an active Hopi-Tewa potter after about 1970, making traditional Hopi styles and using traditional Hopi-Tewa designs. She put her pottery-making tools down around 2000 and hasn't made anything since.
