Guadalupe Melendez

Mata Ortiz

The wife of Efrain Mora, Guadalupe Melendez is a potter living and working in the area of Mata Ortiz in northern Mexico. Efrain and Guadalupe make their pottery together but only she signs them. They seem to like using the sgraffito and paint method of decorating their pots with multicolored birds, butterflies, flowers and plants.
